Overview
Somewhat opposite of what most nootropics provide, Calm PRT by NeuroScience promises to help decrease your stress and induce a feeling of calm. If you’re too hyped up or energized to sleep, you may not get a restful sleep. Waking up often in the middle of the night won’t allow you to complete your sleep cycle and it may lead you to feel terrible the next day. If you’re in the same boat as millions of others across the world and you’re struggling to get a good night’s sleep, then Calm PRT may be the supplement for you.
Manufacturer
Calm PRT is manufactured by the company called NeuroScience, which is located in Oxceola, Wisconsin. From the get-go we were impressed with Neuroscience. It manufactures over 30 supplements that support several aspects of your health, include adrenal function, immune system, and prostate health. It also connects patients with affiliated doctors who are able to measure certain aspects of your nervous, endocrine or immune system function.
Marketing Practices
The company has a well organized website and overall, the products appear to be well presented. Neuroscience products are also sold on Amazon and have been reviewed on several other websites.
Ingredients
Calm PRT comes in bottles with either 60 or 120 capsules. The recommended dose is three capsules daily. Therefore one bottle will last a little under or over a month.
Calm PRT is comprised of a proprietary blend that contains the following ingredients:
- Rhodiola rosea root extract (15% rosavins): This extract is used to increase your mental energy and strength and help you resist stress.
- Phosphatidylserine enriched soy lecithin: First, soy lecithin is an essential fat in your body that is used to treat several memory disorders including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Second, phosphatidlyserine is a supplement that is manufactured from cabbage or soy and is used to treat Alzheimer’s disease and age-related decline in mental function. The combination of the two is known to improve the release of neurotransmitters in the brain, increase brain glucose levels, and reverse age-related brain loss function.
- Glycine: Glycine is an amino acid found in protein-rich foods that is used to treat certain mental disorders and stroke.
- Taurine is an amino sulfonic acid that is found throughout the body yet is taken to reduce the symptoms of ADHD and act as an antioxidant for the brain.
Cost
The 60 capsule bottle costs $68.00 while the 120 capsule bottle costs a little over $110.00 USD.
Summary
NeuroScience appears to be a reputable company and so do its products. While the cost is very high in comparison to other products, and also the exact amounts of each ingredient are not listed, we just couldn’t help but to trust Calm PRT.
