FutureBiotics Brain Fuel Review: Not a Potent Formula, But Good For Beginners
Our First Impressions
If you more often than not feel sluggish or if your productivity levels are not quite where you’d like them to be then there’s a good chance you should go for a product such as Brain Fuel by FutureBiotics. FutureBiotics suggests that their product, Brain Fuel, is a well-rounded formula with amino acids that “brings together some of the most recent findings in nutritional supplementation and brain health.”
Manufacturers
We’ve had our hands on a FutureBiotics product before and that was ThinkFast. Since we got such great results from ThinkFast and were very impressed by the use of all-natural ingredients in the formula, we hope that FutureBiotics has applied the same mindset and dedication towards Brain Fuel. FutureBiotics believes in the use of certified organic ingredients, which is most likely why their supplements are able to bring effective outcomes without terrible side effects. Their customer service sector is also very active, so if for any reason you are concerned or have more questions regarding their product then feel free to shoot them an e-mail.
Ingredients
Thoroughly going through a product’s ingredients is the best way we know how to evaluate the value of that supplement. Our team here has been researching and working with supplements from allover the world so we know a good list of ingredients when we see one. So what does FutureBiotics have in store for us this time?
Brain Fuel contains quite a complicated list of ingredients, but we’re going to make sure to go over the main highlights so that as a reader you have a better understanding of what we’re dealing with here.
Let’s start off with the 25 mcg of Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is a great nutrient to include in cognitive enhancing products. It works great to improve overall mental energy and those who are deficient in Vit B12 may actually suffer from worsened brain function abilities. An amount of 25 mcg per serving is quite small, particularly if you want to see significant results. Perhaps they’ve relied more on the herbal extracts in the mix.
There is of course 120 mg of Ginkgo Biloba in the formula. Ginkgo Biloba is one of America’s best-selling supplements because it has worked wonders on those who are looking to strengthen cognitive function. This ancient herb works on the body by increasing blood flow. When blood stimulation is increased in the brain area, we gain an improved ability to focus and retain information.
Next we have Korean Ginseng (Panax), a great choice to reduce anxiety, boost mood, increase mental energy levels and even enhance memory capacity. Panax ginseng is definitely our go-to herbal extract.
Overall, we can see here that FutureBiotics has continued their promised use of herbal, natural ingredients. The best part about taking a supplement with natural ingredients is that there’s a very low chance you’ll be seeing any unwanted side effects.
Results
With Brain Fuel, we must admit that we may have set our hopes a little too high before trying the supplement. The formula seemed so impressive and we couldn’t wait to get our hands on an organic certified cognitive-enhancing supplement. The results, however, were good and satisfactory but not go anything beyond what we’re used to. During the first few days, we felt a surge of mental energy. And we chose the word ‘surge’ there specifically because the sensation came rushing in. Although it only lasted for a few hours, it felt great to be able to get rid of brain fog and stay more alert. These effects did not last long and towards the second week we may have built a tolerance.
Other Reviews
“I’m young but I still find myself drawing blanks not able to remember things, and not being quite as quick as I’d like to be. My dad recommended I try this, and I’m glad I did. I notice a difference in my memory, quickness, and general cognitive ability.” – Zach on Amazon.com
“I found nothing in this product that helped. Wouldn’t buy again in the future.
It was a waste of my money.” – Abby on Amazon.com
Cost
One bottle of Brain Bright costs $49.00, but the manufacturers do recommend that you get their 3-bottle or 6-bottle packages. The latter options will be much kinder to your wallet, so if you’re shopping under a budget that’s something you should consider. The recommended dose is 2 capsules per day and since the bottle comes with 60 capsules, you will have an entire month’s worth of supply. We liked taking 1 Brain Bright capsule before breakfast and another one before lunch, as this matched the instructions given by Biotrust. If you prefer to take a capsule before dinner that is fine but keep in mind that ingredients such as ALCAR may cause sleeplessness.
Summary
It was interesting to see such different consumer reviews on Amazon.com. One customer loved the results and couldn’t wait to get their next bottle while another was so unsatisfied that she felt that the purchase was nothing but a waste. How should we interpret these comments? Well, oftentimes customers are very impatient and will claim that a supplement is complete crap within 2 days of trying it out. Please remember that you need to give yourself at least 30 days (preferably 90) on the product before forming a conclusion. However, the customer could’ve genuinely seen bad results based on their own lifestyle – inconsistent or insufficient sleeping leads to impaired brain function, bad diet can lead to low energy levels, etc. We had a good experience with Brain Fuel although the formula was a bit too weak. If you’re a beginner then Brain Fuel is a great place to start – the mild yet effective formula will have you feeling more alert and get you to be more productive.
